Acts 18

Acts 18:26
He began to speak boldly in the synagogue, but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

We all need to be teachable.
Here’s Apollos, an extraordinarily gifted and powerful communicator, being taken aside by a woman and her husband. And we have no hint of resistance to their gentle correction. They saw his immense powers and, thankfully, detected his deficiencies. And the result is that Apollos learned, and only got better.
How about you and me? The only way from good to better is by humbly considering some course corrections along the way. So before dismissing it out of hand, make sure your heart is soft, sit with it a day or two, and let the Lord do his work. Even if it doesn't apply, you will be wiser for simply having gone through the process.
