If anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?
Your heart has a door. Make sure it stays propped open. You never want it to latch on a brother, especially if you possess the world’s goods. But, on the chance it does, do not be surprised if you get a knock. Scripture says, Jesus stands at the door. Don’t ignore that thought. Don’t discount that idea. He’s knocking because your brother is in need. And if you send him away now, Matthew warns Jesus may send you away later. So, keep the door open and the lights burning. And receive such a one in the name of Jesus. There’s a reason why you are blessed.
