Genesis 43-45

Daily Devotional from Genesis  45--

Verses 7-8
“And God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth, and to keep alive for you many survivors. So it was not you who sent me here, but God. He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt.”

Circumstances weren’t always in Joseph’s favor, but God had a plan and turned things around.

We have all gone through tough times.
We have all prayed to be taken out of a struggle. But very often our prayer is not answered in the way we would like.

Does God not hear? Does God not care? Does He not keep His promises? No to all of these questions! Perhaps it is not the proper time. Or it may be that we need to be challenged to mature in our faith, in our character. Or what is happening is necessary to fulfill God’s greater purpose. We do not know all the facts as He does.

So during tough times, trust that He is good. And as we pray He will provide mercy and grace in our time of need.

We are never alone; He walks beside us in our journey. He weeps with us in our sorrow.
