2 Kings 24-25
Daily Devotional from 2 Kings 24--
Verse 2
And the Lord sent against him bands of the Chaldeans and bands of the Syrians and bands of the Moabites and bands of the Ammonites, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the Lord that he spoke by his servants the prophets.
God always keeps His Word and sometimes He even brings calamity to people. This is a concept that is hard to make sense of - God is good, so why does He do it? And I assure you that God is good. You see a pattern with God though: there is usually a way out. If His people repent and turn from their ways He relieves them of the coming judgement. But many of the Kings did not want to give up power to God. So God had to go through with judgement.
He has the same offer for all of us. Believe in Jesus Christ and you will be spared of the coming judgement. God provides us all a way out. Who is holding the reins in your life? If you don’t know Jesus as Lord and Savior, reach out and talk to somebody! If you are on the fence make a decision today whom you will serve.

“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
