Daily Devotional from 1 Chronicles 14--
Verse 10
And David inquired of God, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you give them into my hand?” And the LORD said to him, “Go up, and I will give them into your hand.”
Before David made any move against the Philistines, he asked God what he should do.
It’s easy to go through life and not give much thought to our decisions. And, it’s easy to go through life thinking through a decision, but not praying about it. Like David, we should consult God about our decisions, and listen to the Holy Spirit for an answer. The answer may not be what you expect, but including the Lord in our decision-making can benefit us in the long run. God knows what our future holds, and trusting Him with your life is an important part of daily surrender to Him as His follower.
