Isaiah 28-30
Daily Devotional from Isaiah 30--
Verse 15
For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” But you were unwilling.
God keeps telling us to trust him and rest in him all through the Bible. He says things like ‘do not be afraid’ about 365 times in the Bible! When you really look at it, rest and trust are one and the same. You can’t rest with someone you don’t trust!
Listen to the God nudge today - find rest in the only place it can be found, God is the only one with the answers, God is the answer. So if today you are feeling heavy, accept the invitation Jesus gave us in Matthew 11:28-30:
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Learn from Him, Walk with Him, Trust Him.
