Isaiah 53-54
Daily Devotional from Isaiah 53—
Verse 12
Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors.
Another prophecy about Jesus. Jesus was numbered among the transgressors. He died a criminal’s death. And he did all this to take away your sins and the sins of many others. We were transgressors, but Jesus died in our place that we no longer need to bear the penalty of sin. Even before we accepted Jesus, He was praying for us - it says it here in Isaiah 53. Jesus makes intercession for the transgressors. So if you are having a hard time, remember who is interceding (praying) on your behalf. And if you don’t know Jesus just know He is still praying on your behalf for salvation and so much more.
