Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.
Do you know what “gospel” means? Good News.
And notice it’s not good advice. Advice is what you give someone who seeks improvement. But that’s not what Christianity is about. If it was, you would find the Bible in the self-help section of your local bookstore. And, unfortunately, that’s where some people might find it. Oh, what a tangled web we weave. The moment we turn the gospel into advice we make it self-help. But, truth be told, we can't help ourselves. We need a savior.
The gospel is not advice. It’s news.
The wages of sin is death -- bad news. And Jesus has paid the full price -- GOOD NEWS!!!
There's nothing you could've done, but Christ came in and won the day.
So, go into all the world and proclaim this good news! Amen.
