For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
We’ve always told our kids not to accept gifts from strangers. Same thing applies here. If anybody but your Father in Heaven gives you something, you don’t need to receive it. And fear is at the top of the list. Just simply decline and say, “I don’t accept gifts from strangers.” But for some reason, strangers have been known to pawn fear off as if it’s something special. “Well, if you cared, you would obsess about this, right?” That’s just a gimmick so that they can get the upper hand on you. Do not fall for it. Stick with your Dad. He’s already given you all that you need.
