Hebrews 2

Hebrews 2:1
We must pay closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.

One of the podcasts I enjoy listening to is Craig Groeschel on leadership. Recently he told his listeners, “If you’re not intentionally preparing for growth, you’re unintentionally preparing for decline.” Isn’t that the truth? Unless we choose to be intentional, we will always drift towards complacency.

It’s kind of like a cup of hot chocolate. If left to itself, it gets cold and all the good stuff settles to the bottom. So, what do you need to do to make it yummy again? Heat it up and stir it up. As we work our way through Hebrews, you’ll notice that this is one of the main goals of the book – to bring the heat and stir us up once again. Therefore, listen intently, lest you grow cold and the good stuff settles to the bottom.
