Genesis 19-21
Daily Devotional from Genesis 21--
Verse 17
What troubles you, Hagar?
People may abandon you or kick you to the curb, but God never will.
Take Hagar for example. After getting tangled up in an impossible situation, she and her son get dumped in the middle of a wilderness with only a loaf of bread and a skin of water. Discarded and rejected. No comforting voices, no encouraging touches. None but one.
What troubles you, Hagar?
The voice comes out of nowhere. Somebody cares!
Yes, that’s right. Just when you thought you were all alone, you weren’t. And, if you’re going through something today, you aren’t.
Tell him your troubles. He’s with you and he cares.
