Verse 35
So the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people of Israel go, just as the Lord had spoken through Moses.
This little sentence is getting rather repetitive here, isn't it? Moses foretells a plague, God sends the plague, and Pharaoh hardens his heart and refuses to let the people of Israel go. I don't know about you, but I don't want God to have to tell me more than once to do something. He tends to get more insistent if we ignore Him! We, like Pharaoh, can be so stubborn and self-willed at times. Eventually, God will get His way - I want to have a soft and moldable heart before Him, one ready to hear His instructions and follow His will. He has our best interest in mind, we just have to trust Him! Let’s ask God today if there is anything He’s been asking us to do, and pray that He would help us to maintain soft hearts before Him, ready to do His will.
