Deuteronomy 30-31

Daily Devotional from Deuteronomy 30--

Verse 14
But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it.

“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul” has been a theme throughout Deuteronomy, and is repeated many times in today’s reading. The command to love God above all else is possible because of His words. When we keep His words in our hearts and in our mouths, we are encouraged to fulfill our calling as His followers.

Not only are God’s words not far from us—He isn’t either. He cares for you and He is with you in every season of life. Maybe you are struggling with understanding God’s grace, with obedience, feeling inadequate, or alone and isolated; the Holy Spirit is with you today. Be encouraged by the reading of the Word—write down a verse or two from our reading today, commit it to memory, and seek to grow closer to Jesus today through prayer. He is already there reaching out to you, ask in faith for the strength you need, because with Him you can do it, friend!
