Isaiah 55-56
Daily Devotional from Isaiah 55--
Verses 8-9
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Our reading today is all about the compassion of our God. How He brings in those who don’t deserve to be brought in, how He restores all that is broken, and that He is in control. Our God is making all things new, and we will see the completion of this when Jesus returns.
It’s good to remember that God is working all things out, and we only need to rest in that truth. Sometimes we look at the world around us, and it’s hard to see how God is moving—but we have to remember the truths of His Word to us. Today, choose to rest in the truths that God is in control, He is restoring you and others, and His Holy Spirit’s presence is with us each and every day.
