Psalm 109
Daily Devotional from Psalm 109—
Verse 31a
For He stands at the right hand of the needy one…
If you’re anything like me, you probably don’t like feeling like you are needy. We prefer to feel independent, self-sufficient, in control. But if all our needs are met, then we don’t need God. And if we don’t need Him, why would he hang out near us?
The Bible says that the Lord stands at the right hand of those who are NEEDY. It also says He is close to the broken-hearted. Those who recognize that they don’t have it all figured out, they aren’t in control, they can’t do it on their own…those who are broken, weary, mourning. That is where the Lord is – where He is needed.
Don’t be afraid to be in a vulnerable position – you’ll be in Good Company!
