Daily Devotional from 1 Corinthians 10—
Verse 23
“All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.
What are we to do with our time now that we are saved? We don’t need to be legalistic and always be doing something but we ought to put some thought into our actions and have some serious dedication to seeing God’s Kingdom here on earth. God can move independently of our involvement but how much more does He love to show Himself through us! That means we need to be productive; we need to ask God what He wants of us and act on it.
What things are drawing us closer to Jesus and what things aren’t? Let’s plug in with God and ask Him how we can truly reach our community in Gresham. We are building something here. So if you find yourself scrolling today on social media, or just not doing much of anything, take some time to pray for your neighbors or to get into God’s Word - let’s continue to build with Jesus!
