Habakkuk

Daily Devotional from Habakkuk 3--

Verses 17-18
Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.

Maybe things are going well for you at the moment and that’s great, continue to rejoice in the Lord Jesus. For some of us things might be hard, maybe life has hit you with one thing, then another: your car has issues then your kid gets into trouble then your job lets you go.

Sometimes life hits you one thing after another, but even if a storm has been taking place in your life, you as a believer still have grounds to rejoice; salvation is a beautiful thing. Look at Habakkuk - he says in these verses essentially: if everything goes wrong, he is still going to rejoice. We gotta get this guys, God is good and this salvation we have, this hope for eternal life should give us deep joy. Praise God, rejoice today, dwell on what God has done for you.
