Psalm 113
Daily Devotional from Psalm 113—
Verse 4
The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens!
We’ve probably all heard many of the heart-breaking stories coming out of the Russian-Ukraine war. We’ve seen prices of food, fuel, and imports climb higher and higher each day. We can only imagine how the war will continue to affect third-world nations who already don’t have enough.
But don’t let it get you down, because the psalmist reminds us that the Lord is high above all nations! He sees all, He knows all, and He cares. Let’s let our compassion today drive us to our knees in prayer for this conflict. Pray for the national leaders, the refugees, that God would use this to accomplish His purposes, and that somehow, the gospel would be spread through it.
If you feel so inclined, also consider giving what you can toward the humanitarian efforts of great organizations like Convoy of Hope and Samaritan’s Purse.
