Acts 17

Daily Devotional from Acts 17--

Verse 21
Now all the Athenians and the foreigners who lived there would spend their time in nothing except telling or hearing something new.

Things never change. Today we have social media fans, who have nothing better to do than swipe through multitudes of  tweets, Tic Tok posts and web sites looking for something new to entertain themselves with. It was the same for the Athenians of Greece of Paul’s day.

Rather than chide the people for wasting their time, as we often do today, Paul took advantage of this bad habit to spread the Good News. He found a foothold (their homage to an UNKNOWN GOD) to introduce them to the One, True God. He didn’t convince everyone, but some believed.

What footholds are available to us to introduce others to our faith?  Ask God to show you how He wants you to be personally involved in the process of outreach. He has a part only you can fulfill.

We don’t need to convince everyone. We just need to be obedient and leave the results to God.
