Ephesians 1

Daily Devotional from Ephesians 1--

Verse 17
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him.
 
I love this prayer of blessing that Paul gives to the church in Ephesus.
We need revelation of the knowledge of Christ through the Holy Spirit! The Holy Spirit is who directs us in all wisdom. When you’re reading a Scripture you don’t understand, and then you read it later on and understand it—that is Holy Spirit revelation! When you first were able to truly see who Jesus is and put your faith in Him—that was Holy Spirit revelation! And the beautiful knowledge Paul is referring to is that we have an inheritance in Christ because we have been adopted into the family of God.
 
Today, if you’re struggling with understanding something about Jesus, ask the Holy Spirit to give you revelation and wisdom. And pray this prayer over your siblings in Christ and those in your life who do not yet know Him—that they too would have Holy Spirit revelation!
