Proverbs 27
Daily Devotional from Proverbs 27—
Verse 1
Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.
It’s our nature to make claims like, “I’m never going to leave here,” “I’d never live there,” “I’ll always do this” or “I’d never do that” … And it is fine to make plans, set goals, and have dreams. As long as we submit them to God, and hold them with an open hand. His plans for us are often different than our own. We wouldn’t always choose the path He chooses for us. But we must trust that He is Good and He has our best interest at heart.
As you look at the year ahead, make your plans. Set your goals. And then put it on the altar before God so that He knows that He has your heart more than your plans have you!
