1 Chronicles 23-25
Daily Devotional from 1 Chronicles 23--
Verses 25-26
For David said, “The Lord, the God of Israel, has given rest to his people, and he dwells in Jerusalem forever. And so the Levites no longer need to carry the tabernacle or any of the things for its service.”
This must have been a huge relief for the Levites. God provided them with a place of rest. I am betting the Levites were pretty afraid of carrying that ark around, considering they would die if they touched the ark directly.
Today we have an even better deal: we don’t have to strive and earn our way to be with God. He has made Himself easily accessible. You don’t need to be concerned with your salvation when you know Jesus, He provides rest, peace of mind. Jesus paid the ultimate price for you. He has made His dwelling place inside of believers.
Revelation 3:20 says, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me."
Let Jesus in, you’ll never regret it.
