Jeremiah 11-12
Daily Devotional from Jeremiah 11—
Verse 7
For I solemnly warned your fathers when I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, warning them persistently, even to this day, saying, Obey my voice.
There is a theme repeated all throughout the Old Testament of the Israelites turning their backs on God, and God continually trying to bring them back to Him. He sends many prophets, does miracles for them, and provides for them and then they spit in His face. Imagine how that must feel. His children neglecting Him. God simply desired a relationship with His people and He still does, He is still calling people from all over the world to Himself. His warning was always the same: ‘Obey my voice or bad things are going to happen.’ When we stray away from God’s plan, we invite all sorts of extra hardships into our lives. So make the right choice today and choose to obey God. Listen to His voice today!!
