Daily Devotional from Amos 1-2—
(Multiple verses)
…for three transgressions of ___________, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment…
It’s interesting to scroll through each of the grievances listed against the different people in these chapters. For all the nations around Judah, the grievance is people-to-people, e.g. ‘you exiled these people, you took their land, you beat down the poor’…but for Judah, the grievance is their disobedience of God.
This offers some insight into what God really cares about. He cares about how we treat each other, and He cares about our hearts toward Him.
This season, while you baking and making and shopping to show care for your friends and family, be sure to spend special time appreciating your Maker and Sustainer as well!
