Acts 7

Acts 7:5
He gave him no inheritance in it, not even a foot’s length, but promised to give it to him as a possession and to his offspring after him, though he had no child.

God had big ideas! He wanted to build a nation. So, he chose for himself a man with hefty credentials, right? No. He chose a man well advanced in years, without children, and with no land of his own. Hmm. Nation building, eh?
When God comes knocking on your door it’s not necessarily because of your raw materials. God wants to show his glory through the least likely. And it’s typically not for your benefit anyhow, but for the next generation.
So when His plans sound way too big for your little nobody self, just know this is the way he operates. And believe Him for the impossible. It’s just the way he operates.
