2 Corinthians 9

2 Corinthians 9:10
He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.

When Farmer Bob holds his seed, he sees bread, and thinks “it’s going to be a long winter.” Farmer Bob is primarily concerned about today. But when Farmer Joe holds his seed, he sees seed, and thinks, “I got to be ready for the summer planting!” Farmer Joe is primarily interested in the future. Our seed, or shall we say monetary resources, can either be used for sowing or it can be used for bread. But look at what gets multiplied! What you consume on yourself is gone forever, but what you invest in the kingdom of God lives on until the end of time. How will you use the seed that’s in your hand?
