Esther 6-10
Daily Devotional from Esther Chapter 9--
Verse 22
…as the days on which the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month that had been turned for them from sorrow into gladness and from mourning into a holiday; that they should make them days of feasting and gladness, days for sending gifts of food to one another and gifts to the poor.
God often turns our hardships into joy. Here he turned the Israelites' mourning and sorrow into a holiday. A holiday, what a cool picture. The Israelites were facing some serious stuff, Haman was trying to kill them all!! Maybe you’re going through hardships, maybe you’re feeling down but God can turn that sorrow into joy. Wait on Him, He is good. It’s going to work out for your good.
One day all of our sorrows and hurts are going to be turned into an endless holiday, an eternal vacation with God. And even while we are here God has given us a deposit of heaven, we have received the Holy Spirit of God.
Check out 2 Corinthians 5:1-5
For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked. For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
Be encouraged today, there is a joyous future with God!!
