Psalm 117

Verses 1-2
Praise the Lord, all nations! Extol him, all peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!
This psalm is awesome! It’s the shortest of them all, at only two verses, it’s the shortest chapter in the bible, and if you open your bible and turn to the exact center, you’re at Psalm 117. That’s right – there are the same number of chapters before and after it, which makes this the CENTERPOINT of the bible.
And the central point of the bible is this: praise the Lord. EVERYONE. Jews, gentiles, men, women, young, old. EVERYONE. Praise Him because He loves us – All of us – and He is faithful.
That’s it! If you twist open an Oreo cookie, you find the best stuff in the middle. God’s word is the same! It’s so simple. Boil it all down: He loves us, He’s faithful, let’s all praise Him in all we do, all our lives!
