Proverbs 20
Daily Devotional from Proverb 20—
Verse 10
Unequal weights and unequal measures are both alike an abomination to the Lord.
It’s interesting that this sentiment is repeated in verse 23. What it’s essentially saying is that God cares about integrity. He wants our actions to match our words. He wants who we are on the inside to match what we show on the outside; our private life to match our public life. It’s a vulnerable place to live, but it’s how we stay humble, and grow. And it’s a lifelong process.
Ask the Holy Spirit if there are any areas in your life where you’ve not be honest, where you’ve lacked integrity. Repent if you need to, open up to someone and ask for prayer, submit to God. He will help you be more like him.
