Psalm 128
Daily Devotional from Psalm 128—
Verse 1
Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways!
To “fear the Lord” doesn’t necessarily mean to be afraid of him. It’s more like to reverence and respect him and be in awe of his power, his grace, his greatness – his work on a macro and micro level.
To walk in his ways, we have to study his ways, understand how they apply in our culture today, and then set that as our model for daily living.
Fearing the Lord is something we need to remind ourselves daily to do. Walking in his ways is something we need to daily commit to. If we do these two things, the psalmist then lists a host of ways in which we will be blessed. So let’s encourage each other daily in the fear of our God and walking in His ways together!
